Cute Cake

Why Cute Cake? Cute Cake is the nickname that my Granny gave me years ago as a baby. The name has stuck because, Granny still affectionately calls me Cute Cake to this very day! You might also wonder why I refer to Antonette as Ms. D. Well it's actually funny....we work together at a elementary school and we refer to each other by our professional titles during the work day. Those titles carry over......

An awesome technique that Ms. D. shared with me. Of course, I don't remember what the settings were to achieve this look. Notice how MS. is in focus but as the text moves to the right it becomes blurry. Nice.... Ms. D. what's the technique again?

Just me.... Ms. D. was showing me how great the 50 mm lens is. Guess what??? You know I ordered it! This will help to take great shots of Ciera & Jaylen!

New Endeavour....

So, I just whipped out my savings to purchase my newest toy! Yes, I have stepped up and purchased my first Digital SLR. I am super excited and scared at the same time. There is so much to learn and I worry that it may be a bit much for me. However, my 2 great friends, Antonette and Antoinette have encourged me to follow this passion. I've always had a passion for taking photos! I am looking forward to this journey and invite you to join in on my progress.
